Pre-market Safety Surveillance for TPD's Clinical Trials
This presentation deals with the safety surveillance of drugs in development in Canada, i.e., those in clinical trials. The "pre-market" drugs are not surveilled by MHPD. The presentation deals with the Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting requirements in Division 5, ICH E2A - Clinical Safety Data Management, the differences between Adverse Events (AE), ADRs, and Unexpected ADRs. Surveillance processes are covered including, database management and the signal detection process. Limitations and CIOMS are also discussed. There is considerable overlap with Gina Coleman's presentation on the Review of ADRs in CTs.

The Quarantine Scenarios online training course will provide learners with the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have gained from the prerequisite courses [Roles and Responsibilities of Quarantine Officers, Key Partners and Players; Quarantine Act; and Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC)].
