Throughout this course, users will learn about the basics of the regulatory framework. Acts and Regulations will not be discussed in detail in this course. Requesting Toxicology Assessment Consults on Impurities and Residual Solvents
Through explanations, suggestions, examples and exercises, this course is designed to assist pharmaceutical quality reviewers and team leaders in BPS with the preparation of a request for a toxicology assessment consult on impurities and residual solvents according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) developed by the Therapeutic Products Directorate. This course is the first in a series of three online courses related to the SOP.

In a public health emergency, effective risk communication has an imperative role in delivering timely and accurate messages to the public so that they have the information they need to make the right choices to protect themselves against health risks. Quarantine Officers have a first line opportunity to deliver risk communications during high-risk health events.

This investigations program examines the role and responsibilities of inspectors versus investigators and takes learners through the various stages of transitioning from inspection to investigation including a review of the case law that governs investigation activities.
Roles and Responsibilities of Quarantine Officers
The e-learning course, Roles and Responsibilities for Quarantine Officers, Key Partners and Players is designed to expose quarantine staff and key players to training regarding the roles and responsibilities associated with the Quarantine Act (2005). This course is developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada, Office of Border Health Services, Quarantine Services in order to facilitate an efficient and effective response to a quarantine event.
