This self-directed course will provide you with foundational knowledge and will introduce you to key concepts and principles that will assist you in your role as a designated Tobacco and Vaping Compliance and Enforcement Program (TVCEP) inspector. This course has been designed and developed by the Tobacco and Vaping Compliance and Enforcement Program (TVCEP) and the Tobacco Control Directorate (TCD) in collaboration with the National Learning Unit (NLU). This is a pre-designation course that is mandatory for all new TVCEP inspectors as per the Certification standards for the TVPA. There is a formal assessment at the end of this course. Learners have two attempts to achieve the minimum passing mark of 75%.

This Knowledge Transfer Tool will provide Health Canada (HC) employees with an overview of the processes used in the Office of Clinical Trials (OCT), within the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD), Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB), to grant or deny authorization to conduct clinical trials in Canada on human pharmaceuticals (drugs) and natural health products deemed inappropriate for self care.

This Knowledge Transfer Tool will provide Health Canada (HC) employees with an overview of the processes used in the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD), within the Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB) of Health Canada, to grant or deny Canadian marketing authorization for new drugs to be used in humans.

Through explanations, suggestions, examples and exercises, this course is designed to assist Regulatory Project Managers with tracking toxicology assessment consults on impurities and residual solvents according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) developed by the Therapeutic Products Directorate. This course is the third in a series of three online courses related to the SOP.
