Description

Note: The prerequisite course CO202 - Introduction to SharePoint as a Corporate Repository Instructor-led is no longer offered. Employees who previously completed the instructor-led course continue to meet this prerequisite.

The SharePoint as a Corporate Repository (SACR) Site Owner course prepares designated Site Owners to manage access and permissions within SACR in accordance with departmental information management practices.

This mandatory course must be completed before Site Owner permissions are granted.

Through five modules, participants learn the roles and responsibilities of a Site Owner, when restricted access may be appropriate, and how to manage permissions at the site, document library, Document Set, folder, and individual document levels. The course also introduces the Need-to-Know Principle, demonstrates how permissions are managed in SACR, and explains where to go for support and additional resources.

Practical examples, demonstrations, and workplace scenarios help participants apply these concepts to common situations they may encounter as Site Owners. By understanding when and how to manage permissions appropriately, Site Owners help protect sensitive information while ensuring employees have access to the information they need to perform their work.

The course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete and includes interactive content, review activities, and a final quiz. A score of 70% or higher is required to successfully complete the course.
