Description
In this mandatory training, participants will learn about the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management Framework at Health Canada (HC) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Participants will explore their rights and responsibilities, focusing on how both employees and managers contribute to a safe and healthy work environment. The training covers hazard identification, with a focus on psychosocial risks, and explains the internal complaint resolution process. Participants will also learn how to report accidents and incidents and understand the Workers' Compensation Process.
Pre-requisite: Canada Labour Code, Part II WMT110
Canada Labour Code, Part II: An Overview (WMT110), and Occupational and Psychological Health and Safety (CO306) are Mandatory Occupational Health and Safety training for employees at all levels as identified in the OHS Learning Path endorsed and promoted by the DM and President. Supplemental job-specific training can be found in the OHS Training Standard published on mySOURCE.
