Description

In this training, participants will learn about the legislative roles and responsibilities of Work Place Health and Safety Committee (WHSC) members and Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) including the terms of reference, member selection process, committee size, meeting minutes and posting requirements, ensuring quorum, member’s duties, participation requirements and conducting an effective investigation. Additionally, participants will learn how to conduct monthly work place inspections, work place investigations and appropriate reporting processes.

 

After completing this course, nominated WHSC members and HSR’s will have the training necessary to perform their duties.

 

Prerequisite: Canada Labour Code, Part II: An Overview (WMT110)
