As part of the 2025 Rendez-vous de la francophonie, Health Canada and the Agency invite all employees to celebrate the richness of the French language by participating in the organized events. Science in French is essential to ensuring the rigorous dissemination of knowledge and equitable access to scientific information. "Is this product any good?" This is the most common question we get about natural health products (NHPs). While it may seem simple, answering it is incredibly complex. It assumes that healthcare professionals are fully informed about the scientific plausibility, efficacy, safety, and quality of available products. This presentation provides an overview of current knowledge on the most commonly used NHPs in Quebec and Canada, highlights the pitfalls of current regulations, and proposes a method for rigorously and objectively evaluating NHPs in clinical practice.
