Description

Boucar Diouf, a biologist, oceanographer, and Quebec-based comedian of Senegalese origin, shares his unique perspective on Francophonie and the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie in this engaging interview. Drawing on his personal experience, he explores the richness and diversity of the French language through the accents, expressions, and cultural realities that have shaped him, from Senegal to Quebec and beyond. He also reflects on linguistic pride and what an active Francophonie means to him. Known for his sense of humour, he promises a thoughtful, accessible, and entertaining exchange.

Please also note that the conference will be held in French, with an English interpreter providing real-time interpretation. Sign language interpreters will also be present for participants who are hard of hearing.
