Description

Have you ever hesitated to speak French or English at work for fear of making a mistake? You're not alone. Many federal public servants experience this same hesitation, often referred to as “linguistic insecurity”. Often without even realizing it, it can affect self-confidence, participation in discussions, collaboration, and even professional development opportunities.

Join this virtual session to gain a better understanding of linguistic insecurity, learn about the key findings from a recent survey of the federal public service, and discover practical tips to help build your confidence and contribute to a workplace where everyone feels comfortable communicating in the official language of their choice.

As part of Official Languages Day, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada invite all employees to join this workshop. Together, let's bring both official languages to life in our daily work and create an environment where everyone feels encouraged to speak up without fear of being judged.
