This 1/2 day webinar is meant to fine-tune your actual retirement to ensure that you are maximizing all your entitlements and not missing out on any last-minute opportunities.

You should register for this 1/2-day webinar when you are considering the actual date of your retirement. For some, this will be about six months in advance, for others it will be 1 month to 2 years in advance. We recommend that you attend this training after having attended one of the other retirement planning seminars or webinars.

As a prerequisite for this course, you must have already completed the Post Career Planning or the Pension & Finance seminar/webinar.

- Choosing your retirement date

• Calculating pension.
• Elective Service (last chance!).
• Vacation pay / sick leave.
• Severance pay.
• Leaving before or after age 50.
• Pension Benefit Division Act (PBDA).
• Canada Pension Plan / Quebec Pension Plan.
• Old Age Security.

- Review of various financial issues:

• Taxes.
• Investments.
• Post-retirement Insurances.

- Administrative requirements:

• PSSA.
• Supplementary Death Benefit.
• Public Service Health Care Plan.
• Public Service Management Insurance Plan (PSMIP).
• Post-retirement Life Insurance.
• Pensioners Dental Services Plan.
