This mandatory orientation is intended for new National Microbiology Laboratory Branch (NMLB) employees and students located at the JC Wilt Infectious Diseases Research Centre (JC Wilt). This session provides information specific to the NMLB, general requirements and roles as a federal public servant, and safety and security information relevant to the JC Wilt facility. Topics include: NMLB’s organizational structure and governance; building safety protocols including basic laboratory procedures; security protocols and processes; guidelines related to Information Management; Information Technology; and resources and supports available to new employees.
