Description
The Departmental Innovation Office is proud to present the Innovation Learning Guide: an interactive reference tool designed to empower employees to innovate, build their capacity, and drive transformative solutions to help shape the future of Health Canada’s services and initiatives.
In the context of the Government of Canada, innovation refers to a structured problem-solving process. It involves implementing novel approaches that have the potential to create value and lead to improved outcomes for Canadians.
Additionally, Health Canada’s Experimentation Direction for Deputy Heads emphasizes that continuous innovation is essential for delivering the best services to citizens, both now and in the future, and should be a fundamental aspect of our work.
The Innovation Learning Guide was developed to support this Direction, with the aim of enhancing employees' professional development, and in turn, contributing to the overall vision of innovation at Health Canada. The resources were chosen based on the needs of employees developing and leading projects, but these courses can also be of benefit to any employee — including managers, directors and other leaders — who are interested in expanding their knowledge base and contributing to the innovation culture throughout the Department.
We encourage you to make use of these resources to not only invest in your own growth and learning, but also to play a vital role in embedding innovation in our day-to-day work as we seek to transform challenges into opportunities for improvement.
