Description

This course is designed to provide insight into the onboarding and orientation process of staff into an IMS and aims to clarify roles and responsibilities of staff in an IMS Team. This course uses a scenario to take you through a mobilization from start to finish, allowing you to familiarize yourself with the work of the IMS prior to your deployment. You will experience a snapshot of the onboarding process, explore some of the common tools you may use during a mobilization, learn about what each group is responsible for and even gain a few tips for returning to your role.

Please note that the training resources developed by the Emergency Management Branch's Training and Development Unit are intended to apply to all members of the Health Portfolio. While some courses are mandated only for PHAC staff at this time, we encourage and invite all Health Canada staff to complete these courses.
