Welcome to the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) Regulatory Decision Guide online course!

The purpose of this course is to introduce the Regulatory Decision Guide (the Guide) to PMRA staff.

This page contains an overview and a quiz which will test your understanding of the Guide. You must achieve a score of 70% or higher to receive your completion certificate. If you do not score at least 70%, you can take the quiz again.

Before starting the quiz, please ensure the following:

• Complete the learning module
• Read the Regulatory Decision Guide

Successful completion of this quiz is a prerequisite to a virtual workshop which will be made available in the coming months. Your certificate is required to register for the workshop, which will test your ability to apply the guide’s concepts to real PMRA regulatory decision-making cases.

This course applies to all PMRA staff who:

• make regulatory decisions and contributions leading to regulatory decisions pursuant to the relevant Act and its regulations;

• make policy decisions for implementing these regulations or regulatory guidance.

These decisions may be subject to the scrutiny of the courts.
