The following is intended to help Consumer Product Safety inspectors, when working with one of these companies, or a company that is organized similarly. There is no standard model or single way in which online companies are organized in selling their products – some sell directly to consumers, some host retailers who are engaged in selling, and others do both. Officers are encouraged to review this document as it lays out specific steps and RADAR entry instructions in referring cases to specific regions who work with some of the larger internet retailers. This document is intended to be updated from time to time as new companies with different business processes come to the Program’s attention.
