Description

Two-Eyed Seeing in Public Health Workshop with Dr. Matilde Tomaselli provides practical guidance on conducting co-developed research with Indigenous communities, specifically Inuit communities in the Arctic. It focuses on integrating Indigenous knowledge with Western scientific methods to ensure culturally respectful and scientifically rigorous research. Participants will learn how to collaborate meaningfully with community members, co-design research, and interpret results, valuing both Indigenous and scientific perspectives.

 

 

 

The workshop also covers navigating government research standards, including ethics and data management, while prioritizing Indigenous leadership and active involvement throughout the research lifecycle.
