Description

Dr. Nadia Ferrara returns to provide Cultural Humility Part 2: Self Care & Resilience on March 24, 2026. Many will recall her powerful presentation, Walking Together: Cultural Humility and Reconciliation she delivered in September.

Back by popular demand, Dr. Ferrara is a dedicated public servant and humanitarian, currently serving as Ombudsperson at Indigenous Service Canada and the Privy Council Office. With over a decade of experience with Indigenous communities, Nadia is also an adjunct professor at McGill University and a published author, focusing on Indigenous-settler relations, trauma-informed policy development and cross-cultural psychotherapy.

In the Cultural Humility Part 2: Self Care & Resilience presentation, Dr. Ferrara will share the transformative principle of Cultural Humility, and how to apply this principle through self-care and resiliency practices.

In order to learn to connect with our authentic selves, Dr. Ferrara calls upon us to self-reflect, self-evaluate, confront our biases and assumptions, establish boundaries, and embrace accountability for our actions. Cultural Humility forges a foundation for consequential accountability—ensuring that respect, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging are woven into the fabric of our organizations.

You will hear of Dr. Ferrara’s “head, heart, and hand” approach in fostering organizational well-being, cultivating empathy to connect with our humanity, and committing to intentional actions to create transformative change. This approach creates a ripple effect, building organizational cultures where employees feel valued, heard, and empowered.
