Supporting TB Care in First Nations Communities

Monday, March 23rd, 2026

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET

Join us for the first in a two-part webinar series exploring the social realities of tuberculosis (TB) and the importance of a culturally responsive approach to TB care. This webinar will center on TB in First Nations communities, with the second part focusing on Inuit communities. Speakers will offer practical insights into the socioeconomic factors influencing TB and offer strategies for health and social service providers to strengthen their practice through cultural safety, competence and humility. An interactive Q&A will highlight key actions to advance the TB response.

Presented by the National Collaborating Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCCID) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), with the guidance of an advisory committee of First Nations and Inuit health professionals and community leaders.
