In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30, 2026), the Surveillance Community of Practice (SCoP) and Health Equity Community of Practice (HE-CoP) are hosting a joint learning event on First Nation Data Sovereignty.
The event will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, 2026 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM (EST). Join the SCoP and HE-CoP and learn about:
• How a framework for Indigenous Data Governance Principles was implemented with Indigenous partners.
• Applications of First Nation Data Sovereignty within a Northern Ontario First Nations-governed epidemiology alliance.
• Community-based approaches to First Nation Data Sovereignty.
