Description
Storytelling, feather-making, and shared reflection with Elder Harley Crowshoe and artist facilitators.
Join us on October 30 from 1–4 PM at CMHA Calgary for a special gathering in the CMHA Calgary Welcome Centre (Basement), presented in partnership with Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre and Tall Feathers Org.
STORY FEATHERS
With Elder Harley Crowshoe (Piikani Nation) and artist facilitators Patricia Lortie, Oo’Ks’pain’aakii and James Ziegler, Mohkinstsis Pookáá. Together, participants will embark on an inspiring creative journey exploring storytelling, cultural knowledge, and connection through the creation of hand-crafted story feathers.
As each feather is created, unique stories emerge, weaving together generations, lived experiences, and shared reflections. Through art, conversation, and making together, Story Feathers invites participants to deepen understanding, foster belonging, and celebrate the many relationships that shape our communities.
This event welcomes participation and storytelling as we gather to listen, learn from one another, and imagine kinder, more connected ways of being together.
Please note: attendance is limited to 25 participants in order to support the intentional and reflective nature of the gathering.
