Description

Successful engagement with Indigenous communities requires a shared desire to create respectful and meaningful partnerships.

This event will explore best practices for science-focused departments and agencies engaging with Indigenous communities on topics such as infrastructure projects, program design, research ethics and talent development. Using the circle discussion format, each speaker will be provided with the same amount of time to share their insights and their unique knowledge and experience.

Participants will learn helpful best practices and where to find supportive resources when engaging with Indigenous communities.
